There was no question who would do my make up on my wedding day after Claire did my make up at my sister’s wedding when I was bridesmaid. I have very sensitive skin and was amazed what a great job Claire did and with no irritation to my skin. Everyone said how amazing I looked and I love how I look in the pictures. Claire and her team were extremely professional and really lovely people, I would recommend them to any brides. Thank you Claire for a wonderful job even though I had four bridesmaids and my Mum to do you gave everyone the time they needed and we all looked great.

To anyone considering booking Claire for their wedding day – just do it! Claire is totally amazing and very professional. She did my hair and make up for my wedding in July and it was PERFECT. She understood instantly what I wanted and created a flawless, fresh faced look that lasted all through the day and night and that is despite approximately one million kisses and hugs! Like many brides I suffered a minor “pre-wedding stress spot break-out” and Claire just used her magic wand and it was totally gone and stayed invisible throughout the whole day and night, it was super. The make-up just made me look like a better version of myself and I felt truly radiant. I’ve had my make-up done before and sometimes you feel like you wear a “mask” but definitely not this time. Claire also did my hair and it was beautiful, just what I wanted and without any hair pieces or extensions! My hair also lasted brilliantly and looked just as good when I entered church as when I went to bed at 5 am. I also had a veil over my hair that I took off after the service and it did not affect the hair in the slightest – like I said it was just perfect.
Claire also did my Mum’s make-up and it was the best decision ever. Honestly, my Mum felt a million dollars and she did look absolutely stunning. Very natural, with a really fresh complexion and the result took years off her face…. They day is your Mum’s as well and it is well worth going for a make-up for her. My Mum was a bit apprehensive about having it done as she was worried about a “caked” effect with heavy make-up but this was nothing like it, she was thrilled to bits.
On the day Claire and her daughter and assistant Yaz were very calm and methodical. They arrived in plenty of time and knew exactly what they were doing.
Honestly, just book – it’s worth every penny.

She is a very warm person who listens to individual needs and takes on board all comments and concerns.
I had visited Claire before the wedding for a consultation and was quite nervous, as have never hair my hair or make-up done professionally. I also suffer from problematic skin and the advice I received from Claire was very welcome and kind.
I am now looking forward to my next hair appointment with Claire, who is the best stylist I have ever had (she cut in a fringe and I can’t believe I had never thought of it before!).
As for my wedding look, it went down a treat, with many women asking if my hair was real. It was so glamorous and voluminous!

Claire was so professional and personable throughout the process. She was very responsive to all emails and phone calls and always had great suggestions for hairstyles/make up. Claire was great as a make up artist. She listened to what look I wanted and acheived this for me. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable. When I looked in the mirror after the make up trial I was so impressed with what Claire had done – I looked like a different person with beautiful skin. On my wedding day my husband told me how amazed he was by how I looked and everyone complimented my hair and make up both of which Claire had done. On the day of the wedding Claire got my Mum and I ready on time exactly however the car to take me to venue was a bit early. Claire stayed behind to pack up her stuff and ensure the flat was secure so I could head off with no worries. Claire left the place in tip top order. I felt beautiful for the whole day and my make up was perfect until the end of the day (about 11pm after the wedding being at 1pm that afternoon).

I found Claire after searching on the internet and at very short notice. She was very busy but put herself out and rearranged her schedule to fit me in. I was originally going to find a hairdresser near to where I was staying around the wedding venue but after reading Claire’s web site I thought I would give her a try as she specialised in vintage hair and make-up which is what I was looking for as it was for a “thirties” style wedding. I had a vague idea about hair styles and make-up of that era but Claire made sure that both myself and my two daughters (ages 12 and 10) were going to look the part.

I have short bobbed hair which she transformed into a real thirties style with soft waves throughout my hair and the girls both had side buns with loose curls which made them look very elegant. I loved my hair so much that I would like to change my style now to loose curls. My make up was absolutely spot on! She transformed my eyes to a real glamorous 1930′s look with amazing silver eye shadow and her steady hands gave my eyes emphasis with subtle false eyelashes and slick eyeliner as of that era. The whole look reminded me of a more subtle “Betty Boo” figure and I mean that as a compliment because that was just the sort of look I was after and I love Betty Boo.

When I arrived at the wedding my husband didn’t recognise me! But that was no means a bad thing as his comments were more than flattering. I hardly had to touch my make up for the entire day and evening which is all credit to Claire as my skin is prone to shine and it was still fine at the end of the night (even then I didn’t want to take it off).

Thank you Claire for make the three of us glamorous girls from the Thirties for a day! I have already recommended you to friends and if anyone is looking for hair and make-up in the future (especially vintage), I will put them in touch with you.

Claire helped me to feel absoloubtly amazing on my wedding day – it’s definitely the best I’ve ever looked and probably ever will! She was great to have there whilst we were getting ready as although she is completely professional, she is also warm and friendly and helped to put me at ease amongst all of the excitement and nerves! My hair and make-up held all day and Claire’s skill meant that I felt really beautiful on what turned out to be the best day of my life!

I got married on 29th of May 2010 at Pelham House in Lewes and being a very organised individual I had my hair and make-up artist booked by November. I booked someone whohad been recommended by a friend of a friend. Several months later she suddenly tried to charge me 60% more than she had quoted me, so I cancelled my booking and set about the task of finding someone else.I came across Claires website and I after reading some of the testimonials and watching her video I decided to see if she was available. Thankfully she was so my trial was booked for April.

Both of my bridemaids accompanied me to the trial.Claire was doing my hair and make-up and my bridesmaids hair. What struck me instantly about Claire was her easygoing nature. I was quite nervous as I have very fine hair and it wasn’t as long as I would have liked so I was worried I would be quite limited in what I could have done. Claire talked through some options with me asking my ideas and opinions and then tried several styles until we found “the one”. Claire also asked questions in relation to my skin, did I have any problem areas, what skin type I had etc, so that she could make an informed decision on which products would suit my skin the best. Before commencing the trial Claire cleansed my face and also used an anti-bacterial gel on her hands. She explained that hygiene was very important to her and that she washed her brushes after every use and only ever used disposable mascara wands. This really impressed me and is something not all professional artists do (and I talk from past experience).

I left the trial happy and confident that on my big day both myself and my bridesmaids would look amazing and would have nothing to worry about.

The big day finally arrived and everything was perfect (except the weather!). Claire was fun, yet professsional and kept us all calm and we still found plenty of time to laugh and enjoy the whole experience. I got so many comments from people about how I looked and my hubby was blown away! I really did look and feel like a princess! And my bridemaids looked gorgeous too.

Claire did such an amazing job that I am so relieved I cancelled my first hairdresser. It must’ve been fate! I would recommend Claire to any bride-to-be. Her service is exceptional and she is great fun to work with. I wish I could do it all over again!

I got married at Buxted Park Hotel in March 2010. I was fortunate enough to have Claire there on my wedding day to do my hair and make-up and thank goodness I did! During the run up to the wedding I had had 2 trials done (one being Claire) and I really wanted someone to do both my hair and makeup, this is not easy to find, I am extremely fussy so this made the search extremely difficult. I do spend a lot of money on make-up and skin care products and I was finding it difficult finding a make-up artist that used similar products that would not irritate my skin. My first trial with another well known agency went horribly wrong, my face was caked with make-up my hair was unstable and I looked like a drag queen and lets just say hygiene went out the window! Down to my previous experience I was then extremely nervous when I booked my trial with Claire, especially as there was only a month to go and I hadn’t found anyone yet, at this stage Claire had already squeezed me into her busy schedule by moving appointments around and from then on it just got better and better.

Make-up: Just to explain I have very slitty eyes and not many make-up artists know how to deal with this. Claire tried different styles on me and took photos to help me come to a decision of what looked the best. Claire was so easy to get on with, listened to what I wanted and made me feel very at ease and most importantly took the time to understand problem areas and how to combat these issues with specific products. In addition to this she did some additional research and bought some additional products (which were not cheap) just so I looked perfect and happy with the look on the day. On the day of the wedding I was so tired as I had been running around the night before and was up very early so I had suitcases under my eyes, not the best look! Claire managed to hide a lot of this with her expertise. Just another thing to add Clare was on time, unlike other suppliers recommended by the hotel, and she was extremely hygienic.

Hair: I had a half up half down style, I have fine hair but I have a lot of it, so quite often my hair doesn’t hold curls or stay in place so again, I am not the easiest person to have my hair done. Claire did an amazing job my hair stayed in place all day and Claire is a perfectionist so everything, the hair and make-up, was fantastic.

If you have any doubts of whether to book Claire for your big day or any other special occassion I would advise you not to worry in the slightest and just book her before her availbility goes. From someone who is as picky as me and had a nightmare of a first trial I can say without doubt Claire is the best hair, make-up stylist I have come across, she is professional and extremely easy to get on with. Thank you Claire so much for everything!

Claire I cannot praise and thank-you enough for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day on 3rd June 2010. I don’t often wear my hair up, and therefore I was a little tentative. However, you listened and did exactly what I asked for; a sophisticated up do which was soft around my face. The smokey eye make-up looked fantastic, and everyone said how you’d really brought out the blue of my eyes. I was also a bit anxious about wearing foundation, as I never do. But it was so subtly applied, and my skin just looked glowing.

When I arrived at the venue (Arundel Wetland Centre) a little girl approached me and asked if I was Cinderalla!! Well, it must be every girl’s dream to look like Cinderalla and, althought this tickled me, as a result I walked into the ceremony just feeling fabulous.

Claire, as well as being a very talented hair and make-up artist, you’re also a lovely person. You arrived to help with plenty of time, you were organisd, calm, chatty and really up beat, which is exactly what you want on your wedding morning. You were also on hand right at the last minute to help with last minute ‘emergencies’.

I really cannot recommend you enough, and to anyone who is contemplating paying to have their hair and make-up done, I’d say Claire really is worth every penny; you will look and feel fab!!

Claire, Lesley and Yasmin did the hair and make up for my wedding in July. Claire was amazing from start to finish. I knew as soon as I had my trail with her I wanted her to do my hair and make up for my wedding. She even rearranged a hectic week so she could do a trail for my bridesmaid and found her a perfect hairpiece a week before the wedding. Claire is honest in what styles she thinks suits people and for my bridesmaids, sisters, nanny and mum she got it spot on. You can see that she has had years of experience and training. On the day of the wedding she, lesley and Yasmin were brilliant, they were calm, helpful and quick they even managed to rearrange the timetable at the last minute to fit everyone in. My bridesmaid went for a completely different style the smokey effect it was amazing. I wish I had the money of a celebrity as I would pay Claire to do my makeup everyday so I looked that good. What was exceptional about Claire was she made you feel like this was the only wedding she cared about she knew me and what I needed even though I know she had had a massive wedding the day before she was on time, glowing with Yasmin and Lesley and worked hard and was perfect on time (despite me laziness to get up). My make up and hair stayed through the rain (yes in July) tears, dancing, kissing, hugging, sweat, wine and laughter. I would recommend Claire and her team for everything from Weddings to a simple night out – you will look and feel stunning. I can honestly say I looked and felt like a princess and that was because of Claire.

Not being from the area, I had no idea where to start when looking for someone to do my hair and makeup for my special day. I found Claire’s website and loved the video on there as not being one for wearing much makeup wanted to look as natural as possible, after reading the testimonials I knew I had to have a trial. Straight away I knew I had to book her for my special day. On the day Claire did my hair and makeup, my Mum’s and my now Mother in laws (neither who had a trail and were both thrilled with how they looked). Claire’s professionalism was outstanding, her daughter Yasmin who helped on the day was also amazing and very calming when nerves started taking over. I would highly recommend Claire to anyone getting married or who has that special occasion when they want to look and feel like a movie star.

Claire did my hair and make up for my wedding in August and I was soooooo impressed with her patience, understanding and she thoroughly helped me enjoy the experience. My make up was natural, just as I had asked. Claire is also my hairdresser and has helped my hair to be in tip top condition. Do not even hesitate in booking Claire to do your wedding hair and make up! I really wanted someone who could do both hair and make up and had originally booked someone locally who then let me down with a couple of months to go. After doing a frantic search on the internet, I came across Claire’s website which really impressed me. Claire responded to my email really quickly and we arranged a time for a trial. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my hair but Claire gave me plenty of ideas and was very patient when at the end of my first trial, I decided I wanted my hair down rather than up! Claire went to a lot of trouble to make sure I had the style I really wanted and on the day, it was everything I’d dreamt of. As importantly, it stayed put all day despite me doing some serious dancing in the evening! My wedding make up was beautiful, very natural but concealed the fact I had hardly any sleep the night before the wedding because of nerves!! It lasted all day, despite it being a really warm day and didn’t even need touching up for the evening. I had 4 bridesmaids, all with very different hair, and didn’t want them to look like clones of each other with the same style! They all looked amazing and even the little one’s hair do’s were in place by the evening. Claire is fantastic at both hair and make up….I couldn’t have found anyone better or more helpful and reliable. She is also a lovely person to have with you in the run up to your wedding and on the day. I am going to continue having my hair done by Claire and will be recommending her to anyone who needs a hair and make up artist for their big day. I can’t recommend Claire highly enough to other brides! Claire was great at understanding the look I was trying to achieve for my big day. The end look was perfect for what I had envisioned in my head but had not so brilliantly described. Amid the chaos of organising a wedding what you really need is help from reliable, professional design my hair and make-up really helped me to get the exact look I wanted. The morning of the wedding was a whirl of comings and goings. Claire arrived exactly on time (a little early actually) and soon settled herself in the available room. I contacted Claire after finding her details in a Sussex bridal magazine. She was very professional and friendly from the start. Any bride-to-be knows how stressful it gets and I can honestly say all my contact with Claire was stress-free and enjoyable. I discovered Claire while searching the Internet for a mobile hairdressing service in my area . I’ve always been fussy about who cuts my hair, and tended to treat myself to the best . Toni & Guy were my favourite which is why Claire caught my eye. I’ve spent many years studying, and connected with the fashion business ,and know that a good haircut is essential to any look. Since becoming disabled visits to the hairdressers have become few and far between, so a mobile service was my only option. I think Mobile hairdressers have always had a bad press conjuring up images of hairdressers visiting OAP homes to carry out the obligatory perm. After being let down pretty much last minute by another hairdresser, Claire came to the rescue and did an even better job! She was lovely to myself and my bridesmaids and we had fun at the trials and on the day. I found Claire after my Fiance overheard a conversation in a coffee shop in Brighton about our wedding venue. He interrupted to say we were getting married there and Claire mentioned she was one of the hotel’s suppliers and gave him her card! I really wanted to find someone local so there would be no possible issues with travel. I was able to have a full trial at Claire ’s home which was very relaxed and incredibly useful. Armed with a few pictures and trying to describe what I wanted Claire was able to translate that into a very elegant up do, and she made some good suggestions on how I could ensure my skin was in tip top condition before the big day. On the day she arrived early and blowdried my Mother in Law’s hair before arriving at the bridal suite. I had 3 bridesmaids (none of whom she had met before) who all had their hair done as well as my hair and make up. It’s amazing how quickly the time goes on the day, and I always thought we had more than enough, but it disappeared fast! Claire worked solidly from 8.30am until nearly 2pm and to be around someone so professional and calm was fantastic. The girls were really pleased, and the overall look was just what I wanted. My hair didn’t move all day and looked as good at midnight as it had done that morning! Claire really enjoys what she does and her skill combined with her friendly and easy manner make her a joy to work with. Joanne Harris.

Claire did my hair and make-up for my wedding and for my bridesmaid and my mum. She worked with me to create a look I wanted and I was really pleased with the result. I looked natural and like me – only better! My make-up looked just as good at midnight as it did in the morning. I couldn’t recommend Claire highly enough. My bridesmaid looked stunning and my mum looked sensational – Claire was able to work with different ages to produce great looks. My hair also looked fab and I got lots of compliments.
