Life is all about experience and learning and even the most accomplished of us still can gain much from learning new techniques and theories. Even our experienced creative director enjoys taking time out to learn and last week she went to beauty icons MAC in Carnaby Street for a wedding make up seminar. More about this later. First , our weekly round up of beautiful brides, wedding photos and more from out team of talented stylists.
Kate our super busy stylist who covers the South West of England epitomises what CWH is all about. She has been occupied with creating many lovely looks for brides and their wedding parties. Here are just a few photos of her amazing work.
Elloise is our accomplished stylist who covers Brighton and the Sussex area, although like all of our stylists she does work further afield in order to help brides achieve the look of their dreams for their wedding. Last weekend she was at Russets Country House in Surrey
Situated in the famous Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, Russets Country House is a stylish Surrey wedding venue that doesn’t fail to make an impression. The luck lady was bride Claire and Elloise styled fabulous hair and make up for here and her bridesmaids.
Carlos is our skilled stylist who is based in London, he sent these great photos from a recent fashion shoot.
Holly our skilled stylist who covers the South West worked at two lovely weddings. Firstly here is pretty as a picture Kelly, Holly created stunning hair and make up here.
Then Holly worked with Jo and her wedding party . She designed both hair and make up for the beautiful bride
Holly also created lovely make up looks for Jo’s bridesmaids and mum too, so a busy day!
Jo got married at Wellington Barn. This stunning historic 18th Century barn has unusually high vaulted beam ceiling in the Old Barn and the New Barn has a more contemporary feel to it, with almost floor to ceiling glazing. The views here are simply breathtaking and would make a most glorious backdrop for wedding photos. There is a seamlessly good wedding planning service here too.
Claire’s MAC Wedding Make Up Seminar
At CWH we all adore MAC make up, with strong colours, iconic classics, a constant stream of new products and guest lines, what is not to like? The longevity of the make up, particularly foundations makes MAC cosmetics particularly good for weddings. Claire is a huge fan and was really excited to go along to a wedding make up seminar at Carnaby Street, the home of MAC Cosmetics’ first UK flagship Pro store.
Here are some tips that Claire learnt,
- http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/13825/32212/products/skincare/primers/prep-prime-fix Use Fix Plus Primer both before and after applying make up for increased longevity.
- Studio Fix Fluid is a great wedding foundation, it applies like a dream, really evenly and gives a matte finish. It is available in an incredible 46 shades. http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/13847/1231/products/makeup/face/foundation/studio-fix-fluid-spf-15-foundation
- Eyebrows are often overlooked but play a key role in defining our features. As we age our brows thin and by working on them a MUA can help redefine not just their shape but also create an illusion of space by seemingly “opening the eyes. Brow gels are great to use and easy to apply.
- Neutral but luscious lips are essential for a bride and MAC recommend this lovely browny pink lipstick – Doe , which is part of their Liptensity Range, offering extreme colour intensity.http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/13854/43859/products/makeup/lips/lipstick/liptensity-lipstick#/shade/Doe
Here are some great images from the seminar itself. Claire had a great time, it was both fun and informative.
