The architect Charles Voysey’s masterpiece is a Grade II listed historic house furnished in contemporary style. A former home of the Lyle family (of Tate & Lyle), Greyfriars has been impeccably refurbished to the highest standard, maintaining many of the original period features alongside modern contemporary luxury.
There is a wonderful wood panelled bar, and the Drawing Room which has vaulted ceilings and can accommodate up to 130 people at your wedding reception, this room is also licensed for your civil ceremony or partnership. The Drawing Room opens out onto the breathtaking main lawn and terraced gardens, which were is a registered historic garden. Sir Herbert Baker’s ornamental garden features koi carp, yew topiary, a fountain and of course the fantastic view over the downs.
